While there are many excellent file sharing and management applications on the AppStore, there aren't that many true READER applications for PDF and TXT files. Good Reader is the one. Its primary goal is the best user reading experience.

We've written our own viewing engine for PDF, TXT and graphical files with every little detail dedicated to the most pleasant reading.

Our engine opens very large PDF and TXT files that make most other applications crash. And those who don't crash hardly provide the same pleasant reading experience as we do.
For the rest of files we use built-in iPhone's native engine (with all its file size limitations).

FEATURES:

VIEW FILES - very big size (our own viewing engine):
- very large PDF files. Very fast opening. Files of over 500Mb size with more than 7000 pages were tested. Very high zoom ratios for viewing.
- password-protected PDF files
- very large plain text (.TXT) files. Very fast opening. All text encodings used by iPhone (including Unicode) are supported. Files of over 50Mb size were tested. No zooming or left/right scrolling required - text lines are wrapped to screen size using the font name and size of your choice.
- high-resolution pictures and other graphic files + slideshow.

VIEW FILES - normal size (iPhone's built-in viewing engine):
- Microsoft Office files - Word, Excel, PowerPoint (with limited support of Office 2007 XML files)
- HTML files and Safari webarchives
- Apple iWork'08 files - Pages, Numbers, Keynote (only limited support, iWork'08 files must be compressed to individual ZIP archives).
- audio & video files

SCREEN ROTATION - automatic or manual
Manual rotation is great for reading in bed!

FILE TRANSFER - MAC or PC - WiFi only!!!
Files are transferred to iPhone (Good Reader's private folder) using built-in WebDAV server via WiFi. Any computer with a wireless connection to the iPhone can transfer files to and from it, turning your iPhone into a mobile storage device that is used directly from computer's normal file manager or a web browser. Note that a wireless connection (via a WiFi-router or a WiFi-card) is necessary for this.
